Volunteering for Budget Duty

In some grant design teams, an individual or group is selected to prepare the budget and present the final document back to the group. Volunteering for the budget development team—or crafting the entire budget singlehandedly—presents an excellent opportunity to insert library funding. Without any fanfare, the budget could just happen to include a line item of $49,988 for library support (which always looks better than a round number such as $50,000).
